The 2025 Africa's Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook was launched on February 14, 2025 at the Sheraton Addis Hote, Ethiopia. Africa's Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook is the African Development Bank Group's biannual publication, released in the first and fourth quarter of each year. Alemayehu Seyoum Taffesse of IFPRI-Ethiopia participated in the panel discussion of the three critical actions that African should consider for the economic developments. Alemayehu has highlighted these three significant actions that should be taken: (1) Agricultural productivity should increase (2) Agricultural Commercialization should be accelerated significantly and (3) Expand the Inter-Africa trade in the Agriculture commodities. Alemayehu has also mentioned the importance of Policy makers interventions if they are informed with an effective early warning system and track food systems situation, having an anicipatied action plan and socal protection systems are critical in mitigating the economic chanllenges at the regional and country level.
