The IFPRI Ethiopia team is honred to welcome the new unit director Steven Were Omamo, for the Development Strategies and Governance (DSG) of IFPRI, based in Nairobi, Kenya. Were recently visited Ethiopia from December 13–15, during which the staff of IFPRI Ethiopia warmly welcomed him with a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
During his visit, Dr. Were engaged with key partners and stakeholders connected to the IFPRI Ethiopia office, including research organizations and representatives from donor agencies. The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and exploring collaborative opportunities to advance shared objectives.
