Cross-country experience so far shows that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and responses to combat are multidimensional. These consequences include loss of life and morbidity, unemployment and reduced incomes, growing food insecurity and nutritional shortfalls, and disrupted markets and less stable prices. It is thus reasonable to expect the occurrence of these effects in Ethiopia. Indeed, the evidence corroborating that is accumulating, in part through ongoing IFPRI-ESSP research. Continuing the practice of sharing emerging evidence on the impact of COVID-19 in Ethiopia, we have compiled several resources on this page for easy access which will be updated regularly.
