The Global Food Policy Report puts into perspective the major food policy issues, developments, and decisions in 2014 and highlights challenges and opportunities for 2015. It presents data for several key food policy indicators, including country-level data on hunger, agricultural research spending, and capacity for food policy research.
To mark the launch of this flagship report and IFPRI’s 40th Anniversary, 80 people joined together at an event on 30th March at the ILRI campus in Addis Ababa to recognize the importance of this report, and to acknowledge and appreciate some key local partners, including ATA, WFP, FAO, ILRI, EDRI, EEA, AAU, EIAR, CSA, MOA and ESSP. Shenggen Fan, Director General at IFPRI, addressed the audience, which was then followed by a facilitated panel discussion on where and how we should direct our focus for the next period.
